GIS/Geospatial

Currently there is extensive use of 3D visualization software in GIS/Geospacial applications in areas including Government, Energy and Urban Planning. Applications use geographic data and stereo pairs of aerial and satellite imagery to create 3D digital elevation models. Polygons are extruded into 3D shapes/models and display points are created on stalks above terrain.

Until now, these applications were limited by their inability to display their content in a lifelike perspective on a horizontal display. With Infinite Z, users of GIS and Geospacial applications can experience and interact with their data in a new way, allowing them to both see and manipulate imagery and objects in natural 3D.
